I used to fish Ashinoko when I was a child 1975 to 1979 with my father. We had a bass fishing club in Yokosuka and held monthly tournaments there at Lake Ashinoko. Mr. Nozaki was very nice to us. We gave him a patch from our club Ashinoko Bassmasters. I don't know if the shop still displays it. It was still there the last time I visited in 2010. We used to catch some of those big Rainbows and Browns also. Although we fished for trout, our main focus was Largemouth Bass. I remember Mr. Nozaki doing barefoot waterski. Fish On !!!
Dear @raybaby Thank you for your comment. You did bass fishing at Lake Ashi 50 years ago, that's amazing. President Nozaki is still fishing well. I will check if I still have the Ashinoko Bassmasters patch on my next fishing trip.
